The couple tied the knot on Saturday at the New York Public Library , reportsPeople. Interior designer Berkus, 42, and designer/TV personality Brent, 29, are the first same-sex couple to hold their wedding at the New York landmark.
And it was only fitting that Oprah Winfrey, who gave Berkus' career a major boost, was among the 220 guests in attendance. The ceremony was officiated by Sheri Salata , president of OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network & Harpo Studios .
Berkus wore a J.Crew suit and Brent wore Saint Laurent, and they exchanged matching gold bands from Van Cleef & Arpels.Berkus popped the question in April 2013 atop the famous Machu Picchu while on a work trip to Peru. The pair had dated about nine months. Brent is a former assistant to stylist Rachel Zoe and was featured on her Bravo reality show, The Rachel Zoe Project.
